Shops sell cards potions and artifacts, potions being one time use, that causes different effects. To defeat the final boss of Slay the Spire, players will need to know how to counter its attacks and the best ways to build up damage against it. Random encounters can vary wildly, from combat to epic treasure. Battles pit you against random foes, and you do not normally heal afterwards. Each path contains Battles, Random Encounnters, Shops and Camps. A map Seed system is in place so you can also challenge the same path over and over by using the unique set of letters and numbers, or whatever you want to enter. You will collect artifacts as you progress, that change the rules, each in their own magical way. Ultimately though, the only thing I really *really* wish they'd add someday is Lore Entries.
